Here we are at the end of another Year and I’m reflecting back on 2010. This past year has been a year of change and personal growth for me. At this time last year I was living in another country and I had just started working on my next project “The Soul Eater”. In the course of this year, I have moved back to the states and reestablished myself back in New York again, the city of my birth, my home and the place that has shaped me musically the most. I have seen my label ManekinekoPro grow and grow, and all the new projects have gotten me to a place of true optimism. I have a ILL Team. The Soul Eater album is culmination I my travels and experiences of the last year, my influences, the music I’ve heard and the people that I have met. I would like to thank all the artist that have contributed to my personal journey and made this possible. I would like to thank all those I have met here and abroad over the past year. This is your album as well. Also, I would like to thank all those that have fronted, because you have played your part. Lastly, for all of those that have donated to help bring my next project to another level you are the reason I make music.

The Souls Eater Premise: The central figure, John Smith leads a very boring life, works an office job, & finds that his only escape is when he develops an ability to creep into the dreams of others and to live their lives to the vicariously by dreaming the adventures that escape him in his bleak waking days. John re-imagines their life in a way that entertains him, but finds out that in order for him to do so, the dreamer can no longer exist. All of the fears, loves and losses that the person he dreams of have experienced in their lifetime become a part of John’s memory which eventually pushes him to insanity. Each song is another life he has stolen and creates a portrait of a darker side of his own.

Producer Black Panther is at it again! After two popular albums, many songs with an impressive list of collaborators, (Grammy Award winning singer Maya Azucena, Dead Prez, Jean Grae, Immortal Technique, Stronghold and Afu Ra to name a few!) and I’m back in the studio making yet another amazing album. My latest album is sure to impress and get stuck in your head… for all the right reasons! Each of my albums is centralized around a unique and creative concept. As a producer, I bring together a variety of styles and sounds in a carefully constructed way. My newest album “The Soul Eater” reaches across many genres, and brings something for everyone. This is where you all come in!

You can help me deliver my next project, which is on the verge of completion. All of the songs have been produced, written and recorded, and now is some of the priciest parts of delivering it to everyone’s ears!

I have a publicist that works for a major label that is excited about working this project. Mixing has begun, and will continue with your help! Same goes with mastering, distribution and pressing of physical CDs.

The first single “Heavy Mental Factory” has the potential to do what “Crazy” did for Gnarls Barkley. Press and promotion is, as we all know the key to success of any project.
